In ionic form, it does not need broke down in the system to assimilate, and thus, a stronger dose can be administered in lower dosage as well. At one point in time, WaterOz.com, manufactured the best and purest form of ionic lithium available, they just never list it in their product line, its something you may have to inquire privately about to obtain, but at wholesale, it is also the most economically afforadable source as well.
